Jesus wasn't born on Dec 25th. His birth date wasn't mentioned in the bible and his death, not his birth, was to be commemorated as this was the reason he came to earth, the key to understanding the bible.

Everything associated with christmas from the date, to symbols such as santa, the tree, holly and evy etc have pagan origin.

The birth of christ was merged into pagan festivities to unite both pagan and so called christian peoples together.

Whether you decide that's ok or not really depends on your faith in the God of the bible who commands us to turn our backs on any other false gods or pagan worship. Santa would fit into this category.

Check out website www.rkdn.org/alternative/Santa.asp for some really fascinating information on the origin of santa.
