Santa = Satan?

Santa or Satan

Is Santa Claus in fact Satan? Is it more than just a simple misspelling (Santa/Satan)?

Dial-the-Truth Ministries goes into great detail investigating the religious history of the modern day Santa Claus: “Santa Claus: The Great Imposter”

Of course the highly authoritative Landover Baptist Church has some thoughts on this issue as well: The Devil Is In Your Chimney!

But what about Krampus? How does he fit into all of this?

This is really stupid. All of these are just coincidences that you have brought together and don’t have anything to do with what Santa is all about. Why don’t you worry about real problems like drug abuse and violence in our country?

You know, someone took the Santa/Satan idea and made it into a movie. It’s called “Santa’s Slay” (note the spelling.)

Synopsis-Santa, the only son of satan lost a bet with an angel. For that, he was forced to spread christmas Cheer for 1000 years. in the film, the time was up, so now santa goes on a rampage killing people (ala Freddie Kruger and Jason Voorhees.)

It’s a comedy/Slasher film staring WWE’s Bill Goldberg in the title role.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but the trailer is available on Youtube.

While it is funny, I also think it’s in really bad taste.

On another note, in the movie Detroit Rock City, the priest thought that Santa and Satan were all the same guy. (Well, he did unknowingly eat magic mushrooms on his pizza. and refered to a nun as Sister Ghonereah.)

All in all, some people have too much time on thier hands.

You guys are a bunch of idiots, You teach your children about Santa Claus, because you are teaching them about christmas, the figure may or may not be Satans doing, but you get out of the meaning of christmas what you put into it! Just because children look forward to christmas and santa once a year doesn’t mean they worship Satan!! It just means that it brings joy to children to believe in something and to be good for goodness sakes!!! And as adults they will have the right to teach their children the way they want, my children believe in Jesus and know right from wrong, but they also are young enough to believe that santa is real and when the time is right they will figure it out and all will be fine in the world!!!!

Idiots; I swear….. Santa (or St. Nicolas) was an ordinary old man who loved making children happy. I am not sure how he travelled around, but surely not with reindeers and a sleigh in mid-air. It’s the adults who are cracked somewhere in the brain…who made the stories sound so amazing, hoping it would shut their kids up and make them sleep. That was just a pathetic way to kill children’s curiosity. Why did we relate the birth of Christ to a man named Saint Nicolas? Stupid!
Now what is with this Satan and Santa, and Christ, and God, Allah. JEEEEEEEEEEEZ. You know what…. if they existed at all, it’s PAST ! Stop drowning yourselves in those memories that your ancestors had, and you only ‘heard’ of. Seriously ; IS IT FUN ?
More and more theories of what’s “really” going on; even things like OMG none of this exists, we’re all hallucinating .. this is MATRIX !! HA – HA – HA. You know what, shut up, and LIVE !

people can believe what ever they want, and as for that being said.. no one has any real physical proof that either being ever existed. call me hateful, ignornt , or anything of that nature, but until physical proof is ever shown, and not some crap from a book on either subject.. then why worry. the idea was cute tho. santa=satan=satin

and on the idea of st . nicholas, i can beleieve that.. but the santa clause story we tell our kids.. um… i think the kids will have enough mental issues to deal with without giving them the concepts of imaginary friends..

I find it hilarious that many people take this so seriously… i found the concept interesting. I don’t believe in the two, but the coincidences are very interesting. maybe the same person invented them both (none of us were alive back then to know what is true).
Let people have fun peoples… no point in having sticks up your asses.

a fat man who loves little children, wants them to sit on his groin, you support a child molester by teaching kids to play with fat perverts. this holiday custom was created by merchants in New York in the 1800’s, its a profit making scam that is adopted by sex offendors to lure kids into their laps. so go ahead, tell your kids, then when they are kidnapped and raped its YOUR FAULT.

You know… the people that thought this up are woefully pathetic. They need to leave the holidays alone. I mean, who really gives a damn how they where started? Let humanity have it’s one day of peace and goodwill a year for crying out loud.

Are we forgeting what and who christmas is really about? Is is Santa- Satan (almost spelled alike) or Christ. Dont you think he is taking the glory from Christ birth? Ask children one word that comes to their heads about christmas? what do you think it will be? (the birth of baby Jesus) I really dont think that will be the answer for most of them. Satan has always wanted to be greater than Jesus and that was the reason why he was cast out of heaven. Satan is just trying to take our saviours place here on earth. Do you forget who Satan is? He is deceitful and a liar. Christ is being taken out of christmas and Santa is being the main role model for this spiritual holiday. Check out this website it makes a lot of sense. It’s an eye opener to Santas lies.

Many Americans have a very dim view of myth. But most other people – including many Christians – have used myth as a way to teach eternal truths. We even find this in the Bible. In Judges chapter 9, God’s prophet was directed by God to tell a myth about talking trees. (Reminds me of the talking trees in Christian writer C.S. Lewis’s writings.) The trees were symbolic of real people. Some people call this a parable. But a parable is a short story of things that “really happen.” A myth uses “pretend” things – often giving human characteristics to make believe beings. In the Bible’s case, it was “talking trees.” In our 21st century world, it is a Christian hero with special powers.

We must never forget, the first Santa (Nicolas) was a Christian – just as Christmas is a Christian holiday. Admittedly, we don’t know for certain when Christ was born. But to rejoice with the angels at his birth (Luke 2:8-14) seems a great idea to me. And, as part of that celebration, to honor a Christian man of charity like Nicolas also seems right and good.

Today, whenever we practice the Christian ideals of charity and concern for children, we are all “Santa Claus.”

To celebrate using Santa is really up to your conscience. But if you chose to have Santa then you have not done wrong. It is really just a matter of conscience (see the principle in Romans 14:1-8). But whatever we do, we should to the glory of the Lord.

….Wow, you guys are really not that bright. Try reading a Bible and dealing with the real issues in this world before claiming that a made-up cartoon character is SATAN.

…You’re beginning to sound as bad as those crazy Mormons.

Jesus wasn’t born on Dec 25th. His birth date wasn’t mentioned in the bible and his death, not his birth, was to be commemorated as this was the reason he came to earth, the key to understanding the bible.

Everything associated with christmas from the date, to symbols such as santa, the tree, holly and evy etc have pagan origin.

The birth of christ was merged into pagan festivities to unite both pagan and so called christian peoples together.

Whether you decide that’s ok or not really depends on your faith in the God of the bible who commands us to turn our backs on any other false gods or pagan worship. Santa would fit into this category.

Check out website http://www.rkdn.org/alternative/Santa.asp for some really fascinating information on the origin of santa.
